Our Sunday Services (September to June) are held at 10:00 am.
The children in our congregation (Pre-K and older) begin by attending worship with their families and later leave the sanctuary to gather for their own religious exploration. Nursery care is available throughout the service for children ages 0-3 years. A coffee and social hour follows.
October 27 – The Journey of Death
There is a great danger in making the inherently spiritual event of death into a mere medical event. Our experiences with dying people are often fraught with words and phrases that reflect a model of cure: fight, denial and then resignation when there is “nothing more to be done”. Death and mortality are part of the journey of all living things and humanity is not exempt. How do we walk this journey well? What do we look for? What can we expect? Is there such a thing as a “Good Death”? Is dying failure? Can it teach us? We begin the process of discovery, of courageously going to this part of our journey. To paraphrase Montaigne…“A person who has learned how to die has unlearned how to be a slave.”
