To be a lay chaplain is to be of service to those looking to honour and celebrate the most meaningful moments of their lives. It is a true privilege to be apart of this committee and bring forward my experience creating unique ceremonies. Elaine Kempt, our Administrative Assistant, has worked in the holistic, charity, not-for-profit, for-profit, arts and fundraising positions over the years. You might meet Elaine in the community during a yoga or painting class. Her regular office hours are Tuesday and Fridays from 1-5pm, plus some Monday afternoons. Rev. Anne Orfald was the Unitarian Fellowship of Peterborough’s first Minister, from 1994 to 2004. The congregation has honoured her with the title of Minister Emerita.
Meredith Hill serves as one of the Unitarian Fellowship of Peterborough’s two Lay Chaplains. She is available to perform weddings, memorials, funerals, and other ceremonies.
