Anti-racism film night

Do join us for another film and conversation! The film this time is the Canadian Indigenous film The Body Remembers When The World Broke Open. The film centres on the interaction between Áila, an indigenous woman with a stable and happy domestic life, and Rosie, a more impoverished First Nations woman who has just been a victim of domestic abuse, after they meet in the street.
It is a moving film that is sure to give us lots to talk about. Note that there disturbing scenes of domestic abuse at the beginning but most of the scenes are with just the two women.
We will be watching it via CBC GEM and you will likely have a better viewing experience if you watch it via your own computer, but we will also stream it via ZOOM.
