OWL for Parents as Primary Sex Educators

We’re beginning with 4 sessions on these Tuesday evenings, 7:00-8:30pm:
Jan 19, Feb 9, Feb 23, Mar 9.

Our Whole Lives is an empowering sexuality education program that provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information about a range of topics, including relationships, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality. The program models and teaches caring, compassion, respect, and justice. Many families first connected with the fellowship because of OWL.

Covid Update: Unfortunately, OWL leaders recommend not doing OWL with kids online, because it does not provide the safe container and necessary connection of meeting in person. But kids keep growing up, and they need what the program offers. What we can do is provide more information for parents (in OWL, parents are always the primary sexuality educators of their children.

An investment of a bit of your time at this stage in your kids’ lives can save enormous time and stress in the months and years ahead. Some things we can’t do in this way, but some things we can.

If you’re interested, email Ben at rec.peterborough@gmail.com. You’re welcome and encouraged to pass on the invitation to families in your network.
