SUMMER 2021 AT UFP

Every day is a new day, and we continue to learn how to adjust and adapt in the moment! Plan Your Summer Trip | Northern Ontario Travel

As the summer unfolds, and plans take shape, come to this page anytime to check out updates and get the latest news.

Summer Worship:

July and August at 10:30am
We are joining together with four other congregations for our summer services. Each week, one of the congregations will host. What a great way for us to experience a diversity of styles and to make friends across southern Ontario!
Each week we’ll begin at 10:30am, and a time for conversation in small groups will follow.
Note that the link to join is different than our usual link. Information will be posted on our website and in the Flame each week as usual.
Sunday programming for children and youth will resume in the fall.

Staffing:

Rev. Julie is planning her summer one week at a time, and expects to be available about 1/2 time. Holiday time will be posted on the website calendar, and will be noted in the Flame.

Ben Robins is continuing in both the administrator and DRE positions for the time being. As many know, he has accepted an interim ministry position for the fall, and so we will soon be in search for a new DRE. Leah Andrews, our RE Facilitator, will be working with Ben over the summer on RE programming.
In addition, the process for hiring the shared UFP/BIC administrator position has begun; watch for announcements and the job posting, especially if you or someone you know might be interested in this position.

Elaine Kempt is wrapping up her work with us as bookkeeper. The Finance Cmte is well on its way to contracting with a new bookkeeper, whose email will remain the  SAME.

Programming:

As provincial and local guidelines change, we are looking at ways to offer outdoor connections over the summer, for all ages. Watch the Flame for updates,

Friday lunch with Rev. Julie is taking a break for the summer.

There will also be some FUNdraising activities…a ‘Trunk Sale’ and an on-line service auction.

Communications:

The Flame will continue to go out each Friday, with a deadline of noon on Fridays for submissions HERE. And, the website will continue to be updated.
