Child and Youth Programs
We offer dynamic programming for children and youth ages 6-14. We follow an experiential learning model and offer a range of learning opportunities in each session, including arts, cooperative games, nature activities, and group sharing and discussion. The program is led by our Director of Outreach to Families, Lori Hayes, and a team of enthusiastic and caring staff and volunteers.
Sunday Program for Children
We offer multigenerational services a few times a year where adults and children gather in the sanctuary together for the entire service. At other times, children have the option of staying in the service with their guardians, or joining the children’s program which takes place on the lower level. There is a "time for all ages" in the service after which children can decide where to go while the congregation sings. The children return to their guardians in the sanctuary during the last song of the service.
Grounded in Love
Grounded in Love is an event held 3-4 times per year designed to bring us together in a more organic and earth-based way than our usual Sunday services. Popular with families, we usually have a bonfire, singing, simple food and outdoor play at the Camp Kawartha’s Environment Centre. Through Grounded in Love events, we build community, joy and hope. Subscribe to our e-newsletter The Flame for upcoming Grounded in Love events.
Unicamp
Unicamp offers sleep-away kids camp, family camp, seasonal sites, programs, workshops and a beautiful landscape to escape to. Many youth and young adults from UFP have spent wonderful, affirming summers at Unicamp as campers and then transitioned into staff roles such as counsellors, lifeguards, kitchen staff, maintenance crew, program and camp directors!
